Sabie is a small country town nestled in a deep valley on the escarpment of the Drakensberg mountain range in the Mpumalanga ("place of the rising sun") province of South Africa. The town is located 350 km (217 miles) east of Johannesburg and 50 km (31 Miles) west of the renowned Kruger National Park. Sabie offers breathtaking nature scenes and spectacular waterfalls.
The Kruger National Park is 400m above sea-level with a hot and humid climate. Sabie lies on 1120m above sea-level with a moderate climate making it the ideal place for a few days stop over from where to explore the surroundings. Due to its central location and the close proximity to the Park, day drives into the Park are easy.
Travelling from Lydenburg, over Long Tom Pass into Sabie, turn right at the first stop sign into Trichardt Street, next stop sign right again towards Hazyview and 200m down the road on the right is The Valley View sign.
